Received an email from Tracy Hutton, Mississippi Culture, requesting to close West Pearl Street from Union to Elm Street starting at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, September 27, 2024 until 12:00 P.M. on Monday, September 30, 2024 for their Farmhouse Fest. They are requesting to use the City’s stage, and this will allow ample time for City workers to set up the stage and take down on Monday.

Information on nominating petitions and form packets are available now at the City Clerk’s Office for prospective candidates for the April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election. The City of Staunton has up for election: Mayor, City Clerk, City Treasurer, Ward 1 Alderman, Ward 2 Alderman, Ward 2 Alderman (2 year unexpired term), Ward 3 Alderman, Ward 3 Alderman (2 year unexpired term) and Ward 4 Alderman. Petitions can be circulated now.
All duck blinds have been registered prior to the September 1st deadline.
