I. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 28, 2019
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

V. GUESTS
Ben, Heather and Greg Watters were in attendance to discuss property that was recently purchased by Ben from his grandmother. He is asking to not annex the 20 acres that he just bought, and would prefer to pre-annex, if possible. Greg also stated that his mother in law had paid to run a water line back to the property 20 years ago and he was asking about the situation with that water line. Mayor Neuhaus recommended that they come to a committee meeting to discuss these issues next Monday. A committee meeting will be scheduled.
VI. CORRESPONDENCE
Received a letter from the Boeing Bicycle Club thanking the City of Staunton for their
support of the Tour De Donut. They also sent a $3,300.00 check in appreciation of the City’s support. A copy of the letter is attached with the agenda packet.

Motion by Pritchett, seconded by Bodner to pay invoice to John H Crawford & Assoc. in the amount of $35,000 (to date $170,000) for Ginseng Creek Design Engineering – to be paid from Storm Water Fund. Ayes: Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Bodner, Garde. Nayes: Johnson. Absent: Scanzoni. Motion carried 6 Ayes; 1 Naye.
Motion by Pritchett, seconded by Bodner to pay invoice to John H Crawford & Assoc. in the amount of $25,000 for Ginseng Creek Easement Preparations – to be paid from Storm Water Fund. Ayes: Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Bodner, Garde. Nayes: Johnson. Absent: Scanzoni. Motion carried 6 Ayes; 1 Naye.

Motion by Garde, seconded by Scroggins to pay Invoice #2001109 to Midwest Municipal Supply for new Sampling Stations on Renken Road in the amount of $1,005.34. Ayes: Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins. Nayes: None. Absent: Scanzoni. Motion carried.
Motion by Garde, seconded by Scroggins to pay Invoice #11296308 to Hach Co. for Nitrification Control Kit used for chemical testing in water in the amount of $1,886.10. Ayes: Plenske, Pritchett, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth. Nayes: None. Absent: Scanzoni. Motion carried.

Motion by Bodner, seconded by Johnson to hire the following 10 part time dispatchers:
Edward Hirschl, Martin Carlen, Caleb Hartwig, Kathleen Fite, Austin Scarsdale, Tori Hill, Janice McGhee, Jerry Cahill, Kylee Cherry and Kimberly Adler. Ayes: Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett. Nayes: None. Absent: Scanzoni. Motion carried.
Motion by Bodner, seconded by Johnson to hire the following 5 part time police officers:
