I. CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Craig Neuhaus called the Staunton City Council Meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 9, 2018
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Mayor Craig Neuhaus led the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

The Southern Macoupin Veteran’s Caravan will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018,
with the Veteran’s Memorial in Staunton being one of their stops. A brief service will be held at the Memorial with the estimated time being 1:15 to 1:35 P.M., with Staunton being the last stop. A luncheon will be held at the Staunton VFW following the ceremony, and the City will be donating $100.00 towards the purchase of food for the event.

Motion by Bodner, seconded by Pritchett to approve Estimate #8788 from Illini Tech Services for two laptop and three desk top computers, including installation, at a cost of $5,479.95. Ayes: Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
PARK & CIVIC IMPROVEMENT –
Motion by Scanzoni, seconded by Scroggins to purchase and install fencing and new dugouts at Baseball Field 4 with the cost not to exceed $25,000.00. This will be paid in May from the 2018 – 2019 Fiscal Year. Ayes: Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
FINANCE–
Motion by Pritchett, seconded by Bodner to transfer $10,000.00 from Civic Improvement Fund to Park and Recreation Fund, as budgeted. Ayes: Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
UTILITIES-
Motion by Garde, seconded by Plenske to pay Invoice #0168382 to Midwest Municipal Supply for Materials used on the Madison at 5th Street water main loop project in the amount of $1,783.62. Ayes: Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Garde, seconded by Pritchett to approve purchasing additional water meters at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00. This will be paid from the Depreciation Fund. Ayes: Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Garde, seconded by Bodner to approve “Acceptance of Proposal to Furnish Materials and Approval of Award” from Mike Maedge Trucking for road maintenance in the amount of $81,003.40. Ayes: Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde, Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.

Motion by Pritchett, seconded by Bodner to hire Natalie Albrecht as part time City Hall clerical employee at a pay rate of $12.50 per hour. Ayes: Johnson, Scroggins, Schrauth, Plenske, Pritchett, Scanzoni, Bodner, Garde. Nayes: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
